The deep blue and teal glaze on this mug is inspired by the ever-changing colours of the Cornish coastline. From the rich blues of the sea to the soft greens of tidal pools and weathered rocks, each piece captures a little of that coastal calm. Just like the beaches that inspired it, no two mugs are exactly alike—each one shaped by hand and finished with a naturally flowing glaze.
Each mug is made by hand in our Shed44 studio, with subtle variations in colour and texture that make every piece unique.
The smooth, curved shape fits comfortably in your hands—perfect for slow mornings, fireside evenings, or whenever you need a quiet moment.

For your piece of ceramics to last well, try to avoid extreme changes in temperatures (I.e. fridge to oven) and and wash with hot soapy water. This piece is untested in the microwave and dishwasher.
From time to time a flaw may reveal itself over time, if this happens please let me know as I am always looking to refine my processes and improve my pieces.
Everything in my shop is handmade and therefore may have small imperfections, however all my pieces are quality checked to make sure they are water tight and fit for purpose.
